How Many 27-Gallon Moving Totes Do I Need?
A simple mobile-friendly estimate for choosing a 10, 20, or 40-tote moving package.
Quick tote estimate
Because every tote we rent is the same 27-gallon size, you do not need to convert between small, medium, and large boxes. Use this starting point:

Estimate your own move
Start with about ten totes per furnished room, then adjust for how much you own. Add extra capacity for a fully stocked kitchen, multiple full bookcases, hobby collections, garage storage, or a finished basement. A bookcase means the whole piece of furniture—not every shelf.
